Spotless has been established for over 10 years, the
experience gained has enabled me to perfect my
cleaning process in order to produce the highest
possible results.
Clearing
the Room
Many people ask if they should empty their rooms
from furniture. Obviously it’s easier for me if the
room is empty, however, if you have large items that
cannot be moved I can go around them. Three piece
suites and small items I can move myself.
Cleaning
Process (Carpets)
All
carpets are pre-cleaned with a motorised scrubbing
machine and pre-spray treatment. This loosens up
soiling and any stains that the carpet may have
acquired.
Having completed the above I then move onto to the
main cleaning stage. This stage consists of a
solution of hot water and cleaning agents (60-80°c)
being applied to the carpet, which is then scrubbed
and instantly sucked out. This removes any dirt and
debris, leaving the carpet clean and slightly damp.
This process may be repeated on heavily soiled
areas.
In
addition
Stain Guard can be sprayed onto the newly cleaned
carpets. This greatly reduces the risk of nasty
stains forming in future should you spill something
on it. Stain Guard also makes vacuum cleaning easier
as dirt does not cling to the fibres as much.
Over the years I have found this method to be the
most effective way to clean carpets. This is often
referred to as “Steam Cleaning” however it should be
called “Hot Water Extraction”. The hot water
solution easily removes unwanted mites, fleas from
pets etc. that may lurk in the carpet fibres.
